Before building anything, we wrote down what we do, what we do not do, and what is still to be decided. This post covers the main points.
What we have decided
Zenit is a brand of Aikoo SAS. It provides a single account and a portal where the subscriptions and invoices for each of our products will be gathered.
Arko is the first of those products. It will let a business or a freelancer create a website from a base suited to their line of work, then edit it without writing code. Its plans are set: Free to try it out, then Essential, Plus and Pro.
We also build bespoke websites for projects that do not fit a template. That is a separate service, which does not require an Arko subscription.
Everything is hosted in France, and your data stays retrievable.
The principles we follow
Start from a real need rather than a list of features. Make things obvious to use, so that nobody has to read a manual. Get the details right, because that is what people notice over time.
What is still open
Several questions are not settled yet. Arko’s opening date is not fixed: we will only announce it once the editor is ready. The order in which the tools arrive, and some details of the plans, will depend on what our first users tell us.
We will update this journal as those decisions are made.
