Choosing and ordering
Do I need a quote to get started with Arko?
No. Arko will be ordered directly: you will choose a plan and a domain if you want one, then pay, and your workspace will open. Quotes only concern bespoke work, which is a separate service.
What will I pay when I order, and then at renewal?
When you order: the first term of the subscription (monthly or annual) and, if you register one, the domain (coming soon). At renewal: the subscription on the same billing cycle, with a reminder before each payment. The domain will renew separately.
My line of work is not on the list.
The general-purpose template covers everything else: pages, opening hours, contact details, media and an enquiry form, without forcing you into the closest line of work on the list.
What does bespoke work cover?
A custom site, a redesign, a migration or an integration that requires a preliminary study. The scope, the price and the timeline are set in a quote before any commitment. The deliverable is independent of Arko.
Your site and going live
When will I be able to start my site?
As soon as the payment is confirmed: your workspace will open, you will answer the questionnaire and Arko will prepare an initial site that you can edit straight away.
Why is the site not publishable straight away?
On a paid plan, publishing waits for a domain that is connected and secured with HTTPS. Without a domain, you can edit and preview freely; the dashboard shows you what is missing. Free publishes on an Arko address, with no domain to connect.
The same editor on every plan?
Yes. What changes are the quotas — sites, pages, media, members, AI credits, emails, how long the history is kept — and, with Pro, advanced versions of the tools. Security, export and accessibility never depend on the plan.
Domain
Can I use my own domain name?
Yes. You prove that you control it, then you create the records shown to you with your provider. Your email and other services remain intact.
Is the domain name included in the plan?
No: a new domain name is billed separately, at the registration price, and renews separately from the subscription; buying domains is not open yet (coming soon). The terms of purchase, renewal and ownership will be published before launch. A domain you already own is connected with no registration fee.
Subscription and data
Can I change plans?
Yes. An upgrade takes effect immediately; a downgrade takes effect on the renewal date, after a preview of what changes. Nothing is deleted automatically.
What happens if I stop?
Your site stays online until the end of the period you have paid for. After that, the site goes offline without being deleted, and you have ninety days to export your content and data before they are deleted.
Where is my data hosted?
In France, with OVHcloud. Isolation between sites is checked on the server. Backups are encrypted before they leave our servers; a copy is kept with Backblaze, in its European region (the Netherlands).
